dear kansas city,
you've gone & done me proud .
A M Y
it's true . i've been on a treasure hunt for the gems of kansas city - the used book stores and thrift shops, where to find the best breakfast and the most delicious tacos and cocktails (which, i might add, are probably my favorite breakfast) .
utilitarian workshop in the heart of kc on summit street is one of those places you walk into for the first time, fall in love with instantly and then stalk the owners until they let you photograph their space . just kidding .
but when john & nicole, the great folks who dreamt up utilitarian (who are also the aesthetic geniuses behind the design of one of my favorite restaurants in town - port fonda ) asked me to photograph their new shop i may have squealed loudly . i love this space and i love what's inside of it : hand-made goods created by kansas city artisans . beautiful jewelry and accessories, leather wallets, furniture and coffee people in our city made WITH THEIR BARE HANDS .
so i hope you all get to visit . here is a glimpse of UW.....
